Enchiladas, Part II


I shouldn’t even consider a re-made of my most successful post, especially since it involves a recipe from my amazing mother, but I can’t help myself. Enchiladas are so beautifully versatile, it would be like sticking with one kind of pizza for the rest of your life (home made pizza recipe coming up soon– stay tuned..). And no one is that foolish, right?

I know my mother will forgive me. She’s a real bro like that.

Peanut Sauce Noodles


January comes around and it’s inevitable: I am a whale. I float around, not fitting into jeans, eating everything in sight. I sing my sad, sad song to mourn the end of another holiday season. I stock my fridge with veggie platters, pat myself on the back, and snarf peppermint Oreos when no one is looking. My yoga pants tore the other day and I almost cried at the thought of wearing non spandex material. My motto: if it doesn’t have an elastic waistband, I burn it in a fit of rage.

Spaghetti alla Carbonara


I’m really struggling to write this post. Not because the food was uninspiring, or I’m in a drunken stupor, or any legitimate reason. It’s all because I saw the Hunger Games this week and that horribly catchy (and quite disturbing) “Hanging Tree” song is running a repeat marathon on a loop in my brain. Please, someone have pity on me and play a T-Swift song to knock me off this track. I will pay you in pasta to do me this one small favor.
